As an expert urban planner, I led the development of the Climate Plan for the city of Bamenda, Cameroon. This work involved assessing the impacts of climate change on urban services, infrastructure, and public health, and identifying key vulnerabilities at the city scale. Through a strategic and participatory planning approach, I developed a comprehensive toolbox of climate adaptation solutions tailored to various urban scales. I also defined and prioritized actionable projects to strengthen the city’s resilience, addressing both immediate risks and long-term sustainability goals. The plan serves as a roadmap for climate-resilient urban development in a rapidly changing context.
